Today's GA Prop firm began to develop propellers in 1989.

Yury Petrenko is the chief engineer-designer of GA Prop propellers existing at present.

Y.Petrenko began to develop and manufacture propellers with his friend in 1989 at Students' Design Department when he was studying in Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers.

The first propellers were two-bladed, made of wood.

The first three-bladed propeller was manufactured in 1992. Blades of the propeller were made of wood.

In 1993 the first propeller of composite materials was designed and manufactured by using new technologies and innovations.

Yury Petrenko developed propellers in this design department till 1995. In 1995 he has leaved this design department. Since 1996 these propellers began to be called as KievProp propellers.

GA Prop company engaged in designing and manufacturing of propellers was established in 1999. Yury Petrenko was the chief engineer-designer. The first propellers of GA Prop were three-bladed, wooden.

Upper part of a blade was covered by carbon fiber, forward edge had protection from a brass.

In 2003 GA Prop company began to develop and manufacture propellers of composite materials by its own engineering using glass and carbon fiber. Wooden propellers were manufactured at the same time.

Since 2006 all propellers of GA Prop have been manufactured only of composite materials using glass and carbon fiber in autoclave by vacuum technology.

Every year we develop and manufacture several new models of propellers with improved properties.
